Being a private teacher I want to develop in my students a thorough perception as well as self-confidence when answering test questions and managing to tackle unexplored situations. The base of my ideology is the concept that learning occurs in an atmosphere of reciprocal appreciation in which the student is stimulated to think and make new links for themselves. According to my experience one-to-one individual tuition has a special importance to scholars due to the opportunity to resolve the children' own difficulties to learning in a way which lays the bases for a long-term and deep understanding of the course.
Student’s needs and learning style meaning
My approach differs depending on the student's needs and learning style. My teaching theory is based on inspiring scholars to think on their own, using real-world situations as long as it can be. |To my mind it is very important to provide learners with a working skills and to practice analytical skill-sets for improving upon this knowledge. Tutoring a person to think critically is at the fundamental of the things a person have to take away off any subject course.
The most important contribution
Mentoring scholars is among the most lasting contributions a coach are able to bring in, and it is a process, that I consider to be enjoyable and rewarding. From my experience, I found out the importance of engaging children through models and of delivering material at a degree which assumes intelligence though not specifically knowledge, mixing the unknown with the known within a combination that provides the student the disposition of possibility rather than that one of impossibility that impressive and authoritative techniques may enforce.
My teaching tricks
I begin with topics the learners are familiar with and step regularly towards more complex areas as their confidence is being grown. I never lecture to children or tell them to memorise Information.
I usually prioritise test-style as well as last paper questions in order to check, exercise and improve the child's comprehension and technique. I also give a lot of attention to many of the not so much vital but obvious skill sets which include essay technique and structure, logical thought, and the effective use of numbers and graphs.
